The Global Potential Evapo-Transpiration (Global-PET) and Global Aridity Index (Global-Aridity) dataset provide high-resolution global raster climate data related to evapotranspiration processes and rainfall deficit for potential vegetative growth.. The NASA-USDA Enhanced SMAP Global soil moisture data provides soil moisture information across the globe at 10-km spatial resolution. This dataset includes: surface and subsurface soil moisture (mm), soil moisture profile (%), surface and subsurface soil moisture anomalies (-). The dataset is generated by integrating satellite-derived Soil Moisture Active Passive. This latest release extends the dataset for 2 years, providing global soil moisture data up to 30-06-2018. It is otherwise similar to the previous version v04.2, merging all active and passive L2 products directly to generate the COMBINED product (previously, this was created from the ACTIVE and PASSIVE products)

Raw SMAP data have a 36-kilometer (roughly 20-mile) spatial resolution, meaning each data footprint is about the size of a county. The team also developed a data analysis method to estimate a higher-resolution soil moisture product using SMAP and land surface data, giving users information at 1-kilometer (0.62-mile) resolution High-resolution global soil moisture map from SMAP's combined radar and radiometer instruments, acquired between May 4 and May 11, 2015 during SMAP's commissioning phase. The map has a resolution of 5.6 miles (9 kilometers). The data gap is due to turning the instruments on and off during testing The resulting data product - GCN250 - represents runoff for a combination of the European space agency global land cover dataset for 2015 (ESA CCI-LC) resampled to 250 m and geo-registered.
